April class newsletter:

What's Happening in the Classroom:

Helping your student do their best on AIMS:

Below are some tips for helping your student put their best foot forward on test days:

1. Getting a good night's rest
It is recommended that middle school students get more than 8 hours of sleep a night.  Be sure your student is well rested and able to perform their best by helping them get to bed early!

2. Eating a healthy breakfast
You've heard it before, "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!" So be sure your student doesn't leave home without it!  In a rush? McDonalds gives discounts on Monday, April 7th and Tuesday, April 8th because of AIMS testing!

3. Arriving to school early
Testing will begin promptly each morning. Students who arrive to school on time, or even a little early, will have the opportunity to relax and talk to their friends as they settle in for the testing, as opposed to feeling rushed.

4. Planning around testing dates
Testing days are Tuesday, April 8th - Friday, April 11th.  Missing a test means needing to make it up during other instructional time, so please plan any doctor or dentist appointments around these days to ensure your student is able to complete the state testing within the designated time frame.
